Personality and controversy

Charly García always was a controversial figure as a national level as international, his mood swings, drug addiction and his critics about himself and public knowledge people and sometimes this hasn´t like to some sectors of the Argentinian society.

He was detained in a psychiatric clinic thrice; he was expelled from the army because he didn´t stay confinement and the discipline imposed. Anytime one Charly´s fan was hit in a concert and Charly gave him a guitar with his autograph in the hospital. Charly is like a challenge for the journalists.

Those are the most important situations when Charly has caused controversy, on one occasion Charly with his compatriot Fito Páez generated controversy when said something respect Ricardo Arjona, Fito said that Arjona was a “symptom of annihilation” and Charly referred about Arjona´s fans, he said:  is of “housewives, who watch soap opera, and is a lot of people”

Problems with Andrés Calamaro

Why I like him?

Charly García and his different bands I like because I perceive his music very pleasant, sometimes his songs are nostalgic and a little depressive that are reflecting the problems during the Argentinian dictatorship or his crazies changes of moods, but others can denote a bit of euphoria and wake up emotions.

I like Charly and his bands, because in their songs have a lot of critical around the different facts that they lived during the politic situations in Argentina although that was forbidden they decided say their ideas.

And during the Malvinas war, the English rock wasn´t allowed for that reason Charly got his respective importance in the National rock like a paradigmatic musician and I was impressed.

With this type of facts they became an icon of the Argentinian rock, that is some awesome and somehow I think Charly, with Sui Generis and Serú Girán became the referring like a The Beatles (my other favorite band) in their moment.

Also, I like the Charly’s personality and his actions in the concerts. He´s a little crazy.
